Specialist - Visual Impairment

To assist in the design of the curriculum and instruction material for the visually impaired students of the P-12 Education Sector to ensure the necessary support for their special educational need and help students successfully overcome their obstacles to learning.
- Assist in the development and design of the curriculum for visually impaired students that supports their needs and improves student outcomes, enabling them to overcome their obstacles to learning;
- Assist in the development of instruction material in accordance with the curriculum, accommodating each disability to ensure improved learning outcomes and successful delivery of the curriculum;
- Facilitate the integration of information and communication technology into the curriculum and teaching methods to leverage the potential benefits for students and assist in the successful delivery of the material.
skills
• Bachelor Degree as a minimum, in a relevant education discipline
• 2+ years experience in the educational sector working with a form of education special programs;
• Experience in working in curriculum and instruction material development for students with special educational needs;
• Demonstrated understanding of the issues relating to the personal and educational development of children with visual impairments.
