Specialist – Education Facilities Design

Description
To assist in developing standards and guidelines for all current and future school designs and buildings, helping ensure progressive and innovative school design and consolidation of school plans that serves the needs of the educational community. *Help develop standards for school design and construction, putting in place a design framework for all current and future school buildings; *Assist in defining standards, style and specifications for current and future school designs including quality guidelines for school furniture, laboratories, etc; *Work with Project Management Specialists to communicate standards and ensure that design principles and guidelines are being adhered to during the construction process; *Provide assistance when consulting with major stakeholders and other leading architects who have experience of designing schools in key benchmarked countries to gather information about the design of a progressive and innovative educational environment; *Assist in drafting and preparing design proposals to the key stakeholders and management within the Education Council; *Help produce detailed design drawings and plan specifications from which costings can be made, using software packages such as Auto Cad and SketchUp; *Assist in preparing designs based on the principles and ideas of the Education Council’s school design policy makers, and where appropriate advise senior management on the practicality of policy ideas for school design.Salary :
