? Provide decisive and strategic leadership to ensure the high quality performance of the Vocational Education Sector to achieve successful outcomes of programs and services to students;
? Develop vocational strategy and conduct performance analysis for policy implementation;
? Set the Vocational Education Sector’s policy and programs with the goal of developing a quality framework for vocational education;
? Lead the public relations and communications initiative that will change the perceptions of vocational education within the Emirate;
? Develop strategy for the licensing of vocational institutes and accreditation of their programs, and set further education standards for vocational education instructors;
? Set strategy for vocational curriculum design, assessment and the development of instruction material;
? Review and quality assure all vocational educational providers and programs to ensure that standards delivered by the Sector are in accordance with established policies and procedures;
? Set strategy for the development of Vocational Education programs to support adult and community education in accordance with the goal to improve education and employment levels across the Emirate;
? Establish a process of assessment of prospective institutions that ensures a range of Vocational Education programs are available that are closely aligned with the labour market.
